VIOLET TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
Notice of Public Hearing
The Violet Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at the Violet Township Administrative Offices located at 10190 Blacklick Eastern Road, Pickerington to consider the following:
Case VAR-25-15: an application for variance filed by Francis X Maloney for property located at 9175 Basil Western Road, Canal Winchester. This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3AA4-05(A)(5)(b) to allow a detached accessory building to be located at the side of the principal building; and Section 3AA4-05(A)(2) to allow the construction of an accessory structure which will exceed the total floor area permitted for an accessory structure on a lot greater than one acre in area.
Case VAR-25-16: an application for variance filed by Shly Decks, 100 Bell Avenue, Carnegie, PA for property located at 9771 Woodsfield Circle South, Pickerington owned by Vikki and Daniel Farrell, Co Trustees, Farrell Family Trust DTD 4-1-25. This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3B2-06 to allow the construction of a deck to be placed closer to the rear property line.
These applications are available for examination from Friday, September 5, 2025 through Thursday, September 18, 2025, inclusive, Mondays through Fridays, excluding legal holidays, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices, 10190 Blacklick-Eastern Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147.
