Notice of Public Hearing
The Violet Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Violet Township Administrative Offices located at 10190 Blacklick Eastern Road, Pickerington to consider the following:
The continuation of Case Case VAR-24-16: an application for variance filed by Ervis Bahari for property located at 9195 Indian Mound Court, Pickerington, Ohio. This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3AA4-05(A)(5)(b) to allow an accessory building to remain where constructed, closer to the side property line than permitted.
Case VAR-24-19: an application for variance filed by Zoning Resources/Rebecca Green, 74 Glen Drive, Worthington, OH for property located at 7833 Refugee Road, Pickerington, owned by the Kroger Co, 1014 Vine St, Cincinnati, OH. This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Sections 3W2(C)(2) and (5) to allow more than one wall sign with an area which exceeds that permitted for wall mounted signage and to allow signage on the side of the structure. This application will amend a previously approved variance, Case 22-VA-2022 approved in November 2002
Case VAR-24-20: an application for variance filed by Kasey Corbett for property located at 9811 Meadow Wood Drive, Pickerington, owned by Kasey and Jana Corbett. This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3B2-06 to allow the construction of a deck closer to the rear property line than permitted.
Case VAR-24-21: an application for variance filed by Kessler Sign Company, 2669 National Road, Zanesville, OH for property located at 9695 Basil Western Road, Canal Winchester, owned by NLA Violet LLC, 105 Tallapoosa St, Ste 307, Montgomery, AL 36104. Per Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3AA6-02(A) and 3AA6-02(D), this application requests a variance from the provisions of CEDA Development Standards Section 1.03 to allow more than one wall mounted sign. This application will amend a previously approved variance, Case 20-VA-2022 approved in September 2022.
Case VAR-24-22: an application for variance filed by Don Smith, 5650 Township Road 250, Logan, Ohio for property located at 7455 Optimara Drive, Pickerington, owned by Jennifer Schrum, 12917 Bentwood Farms Drive, Pickerington. Pursuant to Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3V3-01(E)(1), this application requests a variance from the provisions of Section 3V3-01(C)(9) to allow the construction of a single family home closer to the side property line than permitted in Violet Meadows Planned Residential District Section 6 Part 2.
These applications are available for examination from Friday, September 6, 2024 through Thursday, September 19, 2024 inclusive, Mondays through Fridays, excluding legal holidays, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices, 10190 Blacklick-Eastern Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147.
