VIOLET TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Notice of Public Hearing

The Violet Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 17 2025 at the Violet Township Administrative Offices located at 10190 Blacklick Eastern Road, Pickerington to consider the following: 

Case No. VAR-25-11: an application for variance filed by Mike Matheny for property located at 13799 Nantucket Avenue, Pickerington, owned by Michael and Julie Matheny.  This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3F1-04(A) to allow on a lot in a platted subdivision, the installation of a fence closer to the street than the front building setback line

Case No. VAR-25-12: an application for variance filed by Adam Logan for property located at 13800 Toll Gate Road, Pickerington, owned by Adam and Kelly Logan, 8631 Winding Creek Way, Pickerington.  This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3AA4-05(A)(5)(b) to allow the construction of a detached accessory building in front of a proposed home. 

The continuation of Case No. VAR-25-8: an application for variance filed by Steve Hamilton for property located at 7705 Pickerington Road, Canal Winchester owned by Steve and Laurie Hamilton.  This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3F1-04(A) to allow on a lot containing less than one acre, the installation of a fence closer to the street than the front building setback line.

The continuation of Case VAR-25-2: an application for variance filed by Eric Campbell, 7433 Hill Road, Canal Winchester for property located at 7417-7433 Hill Road, Canal Winchester, owned by VBCMWC c/o Campbell, LLC, 13840 Leone Court, Pickerington.  Pursuant to Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3AA6-02(D)(1) a variance from CEDA Development Standards Section 1.03 and to allow more than one wall mounted sign and signs not located on designated frontage.

These applications are available for examination from Thursday, July 3, 2025 through Thursday, July 17, 2025, inclusive, Mondays through Fridays, excluding legal holidays, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices, 10190 Blacklick-Eastern Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147. 

The person responsible for giving notice of this public hearing by publication is Kelly Sarko, Violet Township Zoning Inspector.
