VIOLET TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Notice of Public Hearing

The Violet Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 by means of teleconference/video conference to consider the following:

 Case Number 14-VA-2021: an application for variance filed by Terri Fick for property located at 12809 Stonecreek Drive, Pickerington owned by Sam and Terrianne Fick.  This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3AA4-05(A)(5)(b) to allow the installation of a detached accessory building at the side of the home and closer to the side property line than the Resolution allows. 

Case Number 15-VA-2021: an application for variance filed by Emily Kearns and Nazareth Heid for property located at 7055 Amanda Northern Road, Canal Winchester. This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3AA4-05(A)(2) to allow the construction of a detached accessory building whose floor area in combination with those of one or more existing accessory buildings, exceeds the total floor permitted for accessory buildings on a lot larger than one acre in area; Section 3AA4-05(A)(4) to allow the height of a detached accessory building to exceed the height of the home’s highest peak or ridge; Section 3AA4-05(A)(5)(b) to allow the placement of a detached accessory building to be placed at the side of the home.

The continuance of Case Number 11-VA-2021: an application for variance filed by Randy Fowler for property located at 9390 Joy Avenue, Canal Winchester owned by Randy and Robin L Fowler.  This application requests a variance from Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3AA4-05(A)(1) to allow the construction of a detached accessory building which, in combination with one or more existing accessory buildings, exceeds the permitted floor area of accessory buildings on a lot containing less than one acre in area; and a variance from Section 3AA4-05(A)(4) to allow the height of a detached accessory building to exceed the height of the principal use’s highest peak or ridge. 

These applications are available for examination Friday, April 2, 2021, through Thursday, April 15, 2021, inclusive, Mondays through Fridays, excluding legal holidays, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices, 10190 Blacklick-Eastern Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147.
