Notice of Public Hearing

The Violet Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Violet Township Administrative Offices (Theater) located at 10190 Blacklick Eastern Road, Pickerington to consider the following:

 Case Number 21-VA-2021: an application for variance filed by Leisa and Eric Benton for property located at 9149 Hill Road South, Pickerington.  This application requests a variances from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3AA5-02 to allow more than 5 students or receivers of services at any one time, as well as a variance from Section 3AA5-03(H) to allow three non-residents of the dwelling to participate, in the home occupation. If approved, this application would modify a previously approved variance known as Case 29-VA-2018.

Case Number 22-VA-2021: an application filed by Revive Remodeling, 9521 Camelot Street for property located at 12785 Rocky Creek Drive, owned by Marvin Sellers.  Pursuant to Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3V3-01(D)(1), this application requests a variance from the provisions of Section 3V3-01(B) to allow the construction of a deck that is to be placed closer to the rear property line than permitted in the Winding Creek Planned District.

Case Number 23-VA-2021: an application for variance filed by Keith Wagenknecht, 5762 White Tail Drive, Canal Winchester for property located at 13720 Stonehenge Circle, owned by Charles and Kathryn Giller.  This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3B2-06 to allow the construction of an addition which is to be placed closer to the rear property line than permitted.

Case Number 24-VA-2021: an application for variance filed by Brian and Martha Drodesky for property located at 13232 Durham Circle.  This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3J2-06 and 3J2-10 to allow the construction of a deck/patio roof addition which is to be placed closer to the rear property line than permitted.

Case Number 25-VA-2021: an application for variance filed by CESO Inc., 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr., Suite 400, Columbus, for a 1.455-acre portion of Parcel No. 0360003840, owned by Ricketts Family Investments I Ltd, 50 Hill Road South, Pickerington.  This application requests a variance to allow a piece of property to be split off without having any frontage, to be later joined with a separate property so that an additional portion of Springcreek subdivision can be platted.

These applications are available for examination Friday, August 6, 2021, through Thursday, August 19, 2021, inclusive, Mondays through Fridays, excluding legal holidays, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices, 10190 Blacklick-Eastern Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147.
